About the Series
Nahna Maak transforms the Lebanese flag into abstract art, where the cedar tree becomes a bold symbol of unity and resilience. Drawing on Etel Adnan’s belief that “painting is a kind of poetry expressed visually,” each piece captures Lebanon’s struggle, beauty, and rebirth. This project is a call for collective healing, forging a bridge between homeland and diaspora through shared history and unshakable endurance.
Series 1 and Series 2 are sold out; we are honored to share prestigious homes for these pieces including the Lebanese Consulate, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, and the Mayor of New York City.
